What is Sfera for Subiekt GT?
Sfera is an add-on from InsERT, the maker of Subiekt GT, that opens the program’s functions to other applications. An online store, an integrator or a CRM can use it to create a customer, a product or a document the way a user would in Subiekt itself. Numbering, stock levels and settlements are then calculated by Subiekt.
Do you need Sfera to integrate with Subiekt GT?
Usually yes, if the integration writes data to Subiekt: orders, invoices, receipts, customers. An integration that only reads data, for example stock levels and prices sent to a store, can sometimes use other methods. Whatever the method, it has to match the licence of the system. KCD Studio confirms this after an analysis.
Integration through Sfera or direct SQL database access?
Writing documents straight to the database skips the rules built into the program. This can leave stock levels, settlements or numbering inconsistent, and it can break after a Subiekt update. So documents are created through Sfera. Reading from the database is sometimes used for reports and summaries, provided the licence allows it.
Sfera reports errors when creating documents: what should you check?
- whether the Sfera licence is active for the company entity the integration works on
- whether the user account used by the integration has permission for the given document type and warehouse
- whether the document has all the data it needs: an existing product, a customer, a warehouse and enough stock
- whether the integration was also updated after Subiekt was updated
- whether an archiving job or another operation that locks the database is running at the same time
Does Subiekt nexo have Sfera too?
Yes. In the nexo line, the newer generation of Subiekt, integrations through Sfera are available in the PRO version. The Sfera mechanisms in Subiekt GT and in nexo differ, so an integration cannot be moved from one to the other without changes.
