Building the okno-mar.pl website

Okno-Mar is a company based in Konstancin-Jeziorna. It helps clients choose windows, doors, window sills, garage doors and blinds, and handles quotes, measuring and fitting in Warsaw and across the Mazowsze region. The company had never had a website, so it was known mainly locally and by word of mouth. We built the website from scratch, the way the owner wanted: simple, with a short overview of what the company offers and a quote form visible straight away on the first screen. The website has clearly increased the company’s monthly turnover and scored 100 out of 100 in Google Lighthouse tests. We continue to look after it.

What we did

  • Secure and free of tracking

The website has no database or login panel, so there are no plugins to update and fewer ways for attackers to get in. The connection is encrypted, the form filters out spam without making visitors retype codes from images, and before cookie consent the website connects only to okno-mar.pl.

Result: The company does not have to worry about updates, and visitors are not tracked without their consent.

  • Looking after the website

We look after the website on an ongoing basis: we update the product range and other content, add pages and guides, and check every page before changes are published.

Result: The owner can focus on clients while the website stays up to date.

  • The okno-mar.pl first screen on a computer: a headline about windows, doors, garage doors, blinds and window sills with fitting in Konstancin-Jeziorna and across Mazowsze, the showroom address, the Google rating and, next to them, the “Zapytaj o wycenę” (“Ask for a quote”) form with a topic choice, name and phone number

A quote form on the first screen

The form sits next to the headline: the client picks a topic and enters a name and phone number, and adds the town, an e-mail address and a message only if they wish. The enquiry goes straight to the company’s mailbox, and the phone number is in the header of every page.

Result: The client leaves a number without searching for contact details, and the company calls back to arrange a free measuring visit.

  • The okno-mar.pl first screen on a smartphone: the logo, a call button, the headline and the start of the quote form with a topic choice

Fast and convenient on a phone

On a phone the main content appears in about 1.2 seconds, and the whole home page weighs about 220 kB. The call button is always in the header, and the form starts right below the headline.

Result: A client on a phone calls or leaves a number straight away.

  • The PVC windows page on okno-mar.pl: the headline “Okna PVC na wymianę i do nowego domu” (“PVC windows for replacement and new homes”), manufacturers, profile features, quote and call buttons and a window cross-section

The full range in one place

Windows, exterior and interior doors, garage doors, blinds and window sills are covered on 21 pages with sample models and manufacturers. Each page has buttons to ask for a quote or call, because the company orders from 11 manufacturers and chooses models after taking measurements.

Result: Before calling, the client can see what the company fits and which manufacturers it works with.

  • The Guides page on okno-mar.pl: guide cards, including PVC or aluminium windows, sectional or up-and-over garage doors and types of external roller blinds

    Guides and visibility in Google

Five guides answer the questions clients ask before buying, for example whether to choose PVC or aluminium windows. Every page has its own title and description, and the company details and services are also written in a format that search engines and AI assistants can read.

Result: The website can also appear in search results when someone looks for an answer to their question.

Technology

The website is static: its pages are prepared in advance, so it needs no database or login panel. It runs on Cloudflare servers, and enquiries from the form are sent by a small, separate service.

Frequently asked questions

Does a small business need a website?

Yes, if its clients look for its services online. A website shows what the company offers, its contact details and reviews, and search engines have something to show when someone types in a service and a town. Okno-Mar had no website, and after its first one went live the company’s monthly turnover clearly increased.

How much does a simple company website cost?

A simple website costs from PLN 900. The price depends on the number of pages, forms and content to prepare. An initial quote is free, usually within 48 hours. See details

What is a static website and when is it enough?

It is a website made of ready-made pages that the server sends straight to the visitor, without a database or a login panel. It is fast and offers fewer ways for attackers to get in. It is enough for a company whose range does not change every day and that leaves content updates to its web developer. This is how okno-mar.pl works.

How can you check whether a company website is fast and well built?

With Google’s free PageSpeed Insights test, which uses Lighthouse. It rates performance, accessibility, best practices and SEO on a scale of 0 to 100, separately for mobile and desktop. The okno-mar.pl website scores 100 in each of these categories.

How do you encourage clients to send an enquiry through the website?

The form should be short and visible straight away, and the phone number always at hand. On okno-mar.pl the form is on the first screen and asks only for a topic, name and phone number, and the client adds details if they want to.

Who looks after a website after launch?

Usually the web developer the company hires to look after it: they update content, add pages and make sure the website and its form keep working. KCD Studio looks after okno-mar.pl.
